The Integrated Minapadi (Rice-Fish) Farming System: Compost and Local Liquid Organic Fertilizer Based on Multiple Evaluation Criteria

Rice-fish cultivation, also known as Manipadi in Indonesia, is one of the many integrated farming systems where fish are grown concurrently with rice. However, this system needs to be optimized by organic fertilizer. The application fertilizers, such compost and local biofertilizers, when implemented into system, can optimize yield per land for both rice fish. combination must evaluated systematically multiple evaluation criteria statistical analyses. Therefore, study aimed identify doses and/or liquid fertilizer concentrations, based on criteria, that supports productivity rice-fish integration agriculture. experiment was carried out Wanuae farmer group Barebbo District, Bone Regency, between September 2018 January 2019. employed a split plot design randomized complete block (RCBD). main consisted (four levels), subplot biofertilizer source levels). results demonstrated number fill grains significantly affected treatment type biofiller. effect dosing more dominant comparison character its interactions. A dosage four tons ha−1 fertilizer, sourced from soaked coconut fiber cow urine, has been recommended potential. Minapadi (rice fish) additional high composting effectively increased farmer’s outcome 2-point R/C ratio, so than those without composting. Moreover, requires further exploration better understanding.
